Situation: Create a national brand for a regional department store.

Marketing Challenge: Educate and become relevant to customers in new
markets while growing comp sales in existing and maturing markets.
Application of Solutions: We handled Kohl's Department Stores from 1986
to 1996. Taking them from a 32 Store chain in Wisconsin, Illinois and
India doing 250 million in sales, to a 136 store chain in 14 states
doing 2.1 billion in sales. In 1996, our average comp sales were +10%,
Last year Kohl's brought us back in on a consulting basis to Grand Open
their stores in Florida, their most successful Grand Openings to date.
During the 10 years we worked as Kohl's agency of record we had the
opportunity to work with a lot of their vendors on co-op advertising,
including adidas. That relationship led to us being hired by adidas in
2004 as the 2 agency behind TBWA Chiat-Day for adidas North America.
