Client/Agency
Relationship for Agency 03-1014812-478
Structure that doesn’t constrict.
The traditional horizontal and vertical structure was originally
created for organizational clarity, financial management, cost control,
and as a way to define boundaries between departments. Great in theory,
not so great in practice.
Truth is, this kind of structure places an invisible clamp on a brand’s
potential. From a client’s standpoint, work is uneven and slow in
development. From an agency standpoint, profit margins are below
target. Put simply, the worst of both worlds.
Yet agencies persist in structuring themselves like this because
“that’s how it’s always been done.”
We, on the other hand, are guided by a single question: What’s the best
way to solve problems?
To which we have two answers: “Brainpower” and “Arms and Legs.”
Our “Brainpower” consists of our most senior people who identify
problems and opportunities by applying objectivity, specialist skills,
experience, knowledge and imagination. Our “Arms and Legs” execute the
solutions with unequaled efficiency.
Our unique structure also means that accounts at The Gate, ironically,
don’t have gatekeepers. They aren’t “owned” by individuals secluded at
the top of a silo. They’re owned by the Agency. This ensures that the
client has the ear of the entire agency, and isn’t overly dependent on
one person.
