One of the most flattering descriptions I have heard about our agency
is “if you’re looking for a job, it’s OK, but if you’re looking for a
career it’s great!” That’s what we are about. We take our work...but
not ourselves... seriously. The atmosphere is casual; all doors are
open; a spirit of strength and individuality is encouraged; differing
opinions are welcome; we work as a team and, although there is a
hierarchy in order to maintain structure, we work to engender a strong
feeling of importance and equality among our staff.
We ask, and demand, a lot from our team and we try to provide an
atmosphere which facilitates high performance. Top Management is also
participatory and works along side the staff; there are no primadonnas!
In hiring, our agency looks first at the person, then the background,
experience, etc. We are interested in people who are serious,
determined to succeed and willing to do what it takes. We have a
certain style and ethic, both of which are important to us. We would
rather take a bright, industrious and innovative person and teach them
our style and methods than hire an industry veteran who has “all the
answers.” Consequently, our staff is young, energetic and effective. We
also promote from within whenever possible. We believe that, if we are
able to attract the people we want, it is our responsibility to
motivate and compensate them.
